Mental Health Month Post #2

Hello again, Friends.

Despite my long list of things I planned to talk about throughout the month, I couldn’t make my brain cooperate with any of my ideas today.

So tonight I leave you with some things that usually make me feel that “warm and fuzzy” feeling. It’s a useful list when I’m feeling blue, and I know that most of the things on my list are “small”, but I tend to find smaller things more gratifying.

I’d love to hear what’s on your list, if you have one, and if you don’t have one yet I would highly encourage you to make one, especially if you live with dark thoughts but I think a list like this could benefit anybody. Hang it on your wall, pin it on your fridge, make a note on your phone, just put it somewhere you can see it all the time.

  • Jesus
  • Concerts
  • Music
  • Sunshine
  • Rain
  • Driving with the windows down on a sunny day (especially while playing good music!)
  • Time spent with friends
  • Heart-to-heart conversations with cool people
  • Late nights
  • Books
  • Walks
  • Coffee
  • Kittens
  • Babies
  • Lip balm
  • Candles
  • Converse shoes
  • Warm showers
  • Travel (train, plane, car, boat, basically anything other than a bus!)
  • Mashed potatoes and gravy
  • My dad’s cheesecake
  • The smell of the air after it rains
  • The beach
  • Butterscotch ice cream
  • Art
  • Writing
  • Converse shoes
  • Warm sweaters when they’re a size too big
  • Tea
  • Flowers
  • YouTube
  • The Internet

This is just a short list because my long list is a lot more specific (certain people, certain places, etc.), but like I said, I’d be curious to hear what’s on your list! šŸ™‚

I will talk to you all tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll be able to get my words on paper by then.
